Over 1,000 Korean Scientists and Engineers Worldwide Gather to Discuss AI Innovation and Global Collaboration
– 2026 World Congress of Korean Scientists and Engineers Held on July 7–8 at the Korea Science and Technology Center
The 2026 World Congress of Korean Scientists and Engineers brought together Korean scientists, engineers, and technology professionals from around the world to discuss the future of international scientific and technological collaboration in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). As one of the premier global networking events for the Korean scientific community, the congress serves as an important platform for fostering international partnerships and exchanging ideas on emerging technologies.
The opening ceremony was held on July 7 at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul, with more than 1,000 participants from academia, industry, research institutes, and government organizations in Korea and abroad.
Representing the Korean Scientists and Engineers Association in the UAE (KSEAU), President Daniel Choi attended the congress and participated in discussions on strengthening global cooperation among Korean scientists and engineers.

In addition, the 2026 Young Generation Forum (YGF) was held from July 6 to 11 at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul, bringing together the next generation of Korean scientists and engineers who will lead international scientific and technological collaboration in the AI era. The forum provided a valuable platform for young Korean researchers from around the world to exchange ideas, build professional networks, and strengthen the foundation for future global collaboration.
The YGF is an international exchange program designed to foster academic collaboration and networking among young Korean scientists and engineers worldwide. This year, 54 young scientists and engineers from 18 countries, including Korea, participated in the program to explore future opportunities for global scientific and technological cooperation.
Representing the Korean scientific and engineering community in the UAE, Ms. Jiwoo Lee, an undergraduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi, participated in the 2026 YGF.
